The Cherokee Nation Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) offers support, technical assistance, and approved training free of charge to child care providers who have a current contract with the Cherokee Nation Child Care and Development Licensing Program. Child Care Consultants are available to offer specialized training and technical assistance services on-site at child care programs. Topics may include, but are not limited to:

  • Health and Safety
  • Interest Centers
  • Lesson Planning

  • STARS information and assistance
  • STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics)
  • Supervision in Early Childhood Classrooms
  • Other training and technical assistance topics can be developed for specific needs

Resources

The Child Care Resource Center offers resources such as educational materials, toys, books, curriculum kits, theme boxes, and learning tools designed to support young children's development and learning through play. There are a variety of materials available for child care providers to borrow to enhance the early childhood learning environment.

Community Outreach

The Child Care Resource Center offers program presentations to civic groups, agencies, and educational groups. Staff can provide information on child care services, trends, supply and demand statistics, and other early childhood topics. Call to request more information or to schedule a presentation.
